THE SHOULDER BAG mobile experience

Highlighting the drop of a collection of Polo ID Bags, this web-experience was a cross-departmental collaboration between the platform and seasonal design teams. For this launch I worked closely with seasonal designer Juliana Munera Rey. We had invaluable creative direction from Eden Smith, Rachel Felsinger, and Steve Olesky. We designed this page as a shoppable lookbook. There are two portions: the introduction and craftsmanship scroll that reflect the campaign; and a deep dive into each of the new four bags. The corresponding pages for each of the four bags functioned as they’re own system of modals that could be triggered from various user touchpoints. These immersive interactions had to be optimized for both web and mobile.

As a team, we balanced the uniquely rich brand visuals of Ralph Lauren with easily shoppable CTAs to encourage conversion with users. The page acts as an interactive lookbook that highlights multiple styling options for each bag. We created high fidelity prototypes using Principle with detailed spec documents for dev handoff. These docs clearly outlined nuanced animations and interactions so the dev team could easily create the prototypes in a web environment.
